GOVERNMENT HOUSE.

HONGKONG 8th March, 1922.

sir,

I have the honour to inform you that on

account of the retirement of Mr. J. O. Kille, Wardmaster

at the Lunatic Asylum, a vacancy occurs in that institution and it is desirable to take the opportunity to obtain a properly trained officer for that post. It is proposed to abolish the title of Wardmaster and to call the officer

Hoad Attendant as his duties are mainly the supervision of

the native attendants.

I enclose a copy of the statement of

particulars of the office and should be glad if steps

could be taken to appoint a fully qualified officer for

the post. It is considered that a suitable man can be obtained for the salary provided in the Estimates.

I have the honour to be, sir,

Your most obedient humble servent,

B.E. Stubbe

Governor, &c.

RIGHT HONOURABLE

WINSTON CHURCHILL, M.P.,

&c.,

20.
